Snapology Savannah summer camps provide a fun and safe environment for children to learn science, technology, engineering, and math concepts using LEGO® bricks and other building tools. We offer computer programming, robotics, animation, and STEM based programs as well as other themed favorites. Your child will learn, create, and innovate while having a blast in our camps! Robotics & Super Sampler (July 6-10; 9:00 AM-4:00 PM): Snapology’s Full-Day Robotics & Super Sampler combines hands-on STEM learning with imaginative building for an exciting, well-rounded day. Placement in the class will be determined at time of registration. Uniforms must be worn. Uniforms can be obtained through online purchase using the vendor of your choice. A three-piece, white set with a V-neck top, pants, and belt is recommended. Belt testing is available through the instructor. There’s no better way to hone your court skills than to spend a week at a summer tennis camp. If your child has the skills and enthusiasm for exercise, this quality instruction could help lead to a lifetime commitment to the sport. The instruction is designed to bring kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions and modified scoring, all tailored to age and size. The instructor for this camp is Linda Sun who has taught tennis through the Community Education program for many years. Mrs. Sun is a member of the Richmond Hill Area Tennis Association where she serves as an instructor. She is also a member of the Professional Tennis Registry. Parents will need to purchase a 21, 23, or 25-inch racket for their child from any sporting goods outlet or discount store. If you do not have a racket or do not know what size your child needs, the instructor will provide a sample for your child to try before making a purchase. Kokedama encourages a deeper appreciation of nature while offering a creative, relaxing, and hands-on experience suitable for all skill levels. TrackSports & FitnessFall Endurance Add some variety to your list of sport accomplishments through the Fall Endurance program. Let your child experience the excitement of running while realizing their physical and mental potential. This five-part endurance program, designed and led by RHHS’s USATF certified & 17x USA Today Cross-Country Coach of the Year Levi Sybert, brings focus to endurance running and the sport of cross country in a fun and interactive way. Participants will meet at Richmond Hill High School’s Track Complex where they will be paired up with students of similar ability to prepare for a culminating race run on the RHHS Cross Country race on the final day. Our goal is that each child will experience firsthand how to find fun and thrill in an activity they can do anywhere at any time. Open to grades K-5. Beginners This camp’s primary focus is all about the basics, designed to teach the fundamentals of the sport and develop the proper techniques and skills for hand-eye coordination, agility, body movement, and ball control to play the game. Team play will be introduced and incorporated with a focus on fun while learning skills. *If you previously attended Volleyball Skills & Drills and are still uncomfortable with passing, setting, and serving - this camp is for you. Reminders: Every child needs to bring their own water bottle. Over the course of 6 weeks they will learn the basics of passing, setting, hitting, and serving. In addition to skill development, players will learn the importance of communication and teamwork, building confidence both on and off the court. Through drills and skill-building games, participants will develop a strong foundation of volleyball while making new friends and having fun!
