Boater SafetyLearn boater education in a classroom setting from a game warden, AND receive boating safety certification issued by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. All persons born on or after January 1, 1998 that operate any motorized vessel on the waters of the state must have completed an approved boat education course prior to such operation. This course will certify students to operate vessels on state waters as well as teach students important lessons in water safety, navigation and safe operation, required equipment, emergency procedures, and other responsibilities of a boat operator. The class will be offered on a Saturday. Students must attend entire session to be eligible for certification. Students will need a GA DNR Customer ID Number to complete the course. Visit www.gooutdoorsgeorgia.com, or call 1-800-366-2661 to locate your existing Customer ID Number or create a new one. Then register for the course on this site prior to the date of the course. Once students have passed the course, they can print a certificate from this website. For students younger than 16 years old and/or without a driver's license, parents can create an account using the student's Social Security number. Bryan County Summer School Before & After SchoolBryan County Schools’ Community Education division will offer Before and After School care for K-5th grade students attending Summer School Experience June 7 – July 1. Summer School Before and After care is a fee-based program and will be offered at McAllister Elementary and Bryan County Elementary Schools. Summer School Before and After students will work on Summer School homework, classroom activities, and outside play. Snacks will be provided for After School students. Current CDC recommended restrictions will apply to all students and staff during Before and After School hours. Bryan County Summer School Staff Child CareBryan County Schools’ Community Education division will offer a Child Care Program for teachers and staff who have been hired for Summer School Experience June 7 – July 1. The staff child care program is a fee-based program and will be offered at McAllister Elementary and Bryan County Elementary Schools. Child care hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM. Staff child care students will participate in activities normally offered during the After School Program that include iPad educational access, video programs, games, crafts, indoor play, and outdoor play. Drivers EducationGeorgia law requires mandatory driver education before teens can obtain their Class D license. All 16 year olds applying for a Class D driver’s license must complete an approved driver’s education course. Drivers Education for Teens offers 30 hours of classroom or virtual instruction and six hours of instruction behind the wheel, with training by a qualified instructor. Parents who live in the Pembroke/Ellabell area must transport students to the Richmond Hill Community Education Center. Driving times will be scheduled after the first class session. All registration forms will be timed and dated to assure placement of students. A copy of the student learner’s license is required prior to beginning the class. Summer Camp RegistrationFIRST STEP: Complete this registration form and pay $25 registration fee for each child. This is an annual fee and must be completed as the first step in enrolling in Community Education's Summer Camp 2026. Enrollment in camps is not valid until registration is complete and paid. Once completed and paid, campers can enroll in one or more camps.
