Starting SoonVolleyball Camp at MESSummer Specialty CampsGrow the game together! Purpose: Develop fundamental volleyball skills while teaching teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship. Beginners This camp’s primary focus is all about the basics, designed to teach the fundamentals of the sport and develop the proper techniques and skills for hand-eye coordination, agility, body movement, and ball control to play the game. Team play will be introduced and incorporated with a focus on fun while learning skills. *If you previously attended Volleyball Skills & Drills and are still uncomfortable with passing, setting, and serving - this camp is for you. Reminders: Every child needs to bring their own water bottle. Bring plenty of water, one snack, and proper sports attire (shorts, T-shirt, and comfortable running sneakers with good grip or volleyball shoes). **If you have/plan on buying volleyball shoes, they are STRICTLY meant for indoor court use, please come in a different pair of shoes (i.e., crocs, slides, flip flops), and once the inside player can change shoes. Please make sure socks are brought or worn. Knee pads are suggested, but not required. Open to students entering grades 3-6. No transport is available for this camp. Volleyball Skills & DrillsSports & FitnessThis class is designed to teach beginner players the fundamentals of volleyball in a fostering, encouraging environment. Over the course of 6 weeks they will learn the basics of passing, setting, hitting, and serving. In addition to skill development, players will learn the importance of communication and teamwork, building confidence both on and off the court. Through drills and skill-building games, participants will develop a strong foundation of volleyball while making new friends and having fun! Reminders: Bring water and proper sports attire (shorts, T-shirt, and comfortable running sneakers with good grip or volleyball shoes). **If you have/plan on buying volleyball shoes, they are STRICTLY meant for indoor court use.
