Intro to Spanish (Grades 2–5)

A fun and accessible introduction to Spanish basics, including:

  • Alphabet & pronunciation
  • Numbers, colors, days/months
  • Greetings and simple conversational phrases
  • Cultural elements and games
  • This class will prioritize confidence-building, communication, and enjoyable activities that help students feel successful with language prior to middle school language specials exposure.

    Kimberly Kinnecom has been a Spanish teacher at Richmond Hill High School since 2017. She previously taught in New England, North Carolina, and Florida, and has lived and worked in the Dominican Republic. Her international experience also includes travel and professional work throughout Latin America, including Guatemala, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Peru, and Mexico. Kimberly focuses on helping learners feel comfortable hearing and using Spanish in a natural, encouraging environment, with an emphasis on communication, confidence, and enjoying the learning process.
